  • Re: Best makeup for acne prone/combination skin?

I like the serious skin care line of acne treatments. They work wonders when you have a breakout and Gisele is correct, you need to wash your brushes. You might also want to make sure you are not putting anything with oils on your skin at bedtime. Look for products that have been developed in a way that will not plug your pores.  And one ...

  • Re: Foundation Primer

I didn't realize you could buy primer under $40! Most best selling primers are over $40.  Shoppers Drug Mart and Bay carry a lot of different brands of primers.   Gisele

  • Re: Clothing for the Boomer Generation

There are a few stores that cater to women of a certain body size. Baby boomers don't come in the same size and I don't think there is a store that speaks to them. Has your friend tried Talbot? I think that might be the closest to what she's looking for.Giselehttp://www.mybeautymatch.com

Jerh, Your adult acne breakouts maybe due to your makeup brushes. Do you wash them on a regular base? In general, women have problems with acne because no matter what you use at the end of the day you are covering your pores with this foreign substance. Zeno (sold at Shoppers Drug Mart) is a good product to help control pimples + you can ...

  • Wanting to try something new

I'm looking for a salon that would give me a new hair style (I'm not very adventurous but want something new) and also that would be able to show me a few different ways of applying makeup to get those different day and night looks...  Does anyone know of anywhere that you can do this without having to hand over your first born ...

  • Re: Foundation Primer

Hi, I agree that Smashbox Photo Finish Primer or Laura Mercier are the best. I also recommend Lise Watier. It may be a bit less expenisve. However, my favourite is Smashbox's version- a little goes a long way & it really does 'seal in' your serums, sunscreens, mositurizers & foundation. An excellent beauty 'must-have.' ...

  • To get mascara stains out.

Like most Girls, I do not have time to remove make-up before hitting the sheets. Some situations, well you know. I sleep on a satin pillow case, (suppose to be better for your hair) which shows up the tiniest mascara mark. Well, oil free eye make-up remover will take that stain right out. I just soak a cotton pad and spot treat the area, then ...

  • Allergies to Make-up

I have been aplying make-up since I was 18.  Last year, at 26, I have started allergies to make-up but not to all, only the bronzer's and blushes.  I have tried switching brands, but that does not work.  I only get the rash and itchyness on my neck.  Of course the only time I apply a bronzer or blush there is because I am ...
