Looks like next week's guest hosts are the final contenders.

We have Jenn V, Catherine Marion, Tracey & Karen Sealy.   I would like to congratulate the producers on a dismal job. None of these candidates are even close to Marilyn in terms of sense of humour and sheer talent.  This is a major letdown.  Canada is brimming with talent.

The producers failed to engage the viewers in this selection. A wasted opportunity. My only guess is that when Marilyn left, she took some behind-the-scenes talent with her.  The audition process has been amateurish and way-too-long!

What happened to Elissa or Kathryn Humphries? 

I won't be watching any of above. 

I like Karen too.

As a guest commentator, she is excellent.  But she is not host material.

That is an entirely different job desription.  Think of Sarah Palin ...... fine perhaps as Govenor of Alaska, but as a one-heartbeat-away Vice President??  Not a chance.

Cityline is compromising with this list and they know it.   Too bad they couldn't afford to woo Liza Fromer back   That woman has all the right stuff for the job.  She is the gold standard IMHO.

I think Jen and Tracey could both do a fine job.

 Marilyn was wonderful for sure but she wasn't funny each and every show and certainly not throughtout each show, when she was funny. I bet if we went back and looked at the old tapes of when she first started all those years ago, we would find she was't nearly as good as how she finished up.

She grew with the show.

That is how it should be with the new host as well.

I've been wondering if the guest hosts are filling in until the new host can start - you usually have to give a couple of weeks notice when you're leaving a job. I certainly hope that's the case because I'm not fussy on any of the four that are hosting the last couple of weeks. I'm really really rooting for Elissa - she's my hands down favourite for the job.

*cough - cough ahem*

Tracey sure didn't a good job in looking in the mirror today. The blue top was just all wrong.

KathyBela - I can only hope you are correct.

Elissa should most definitely be a finalist.  She's got the "it" factor.

Well, Tracey is the guest host all next week which I think is a good idea.  Let us see each of the contenders for a whole week so we can get a feel how they do on an ongoing basis.  I like Tracey but I'm trying to keep an open mind  when watching all of the contenders.
