    Cityline Host

Please bring back Marilyn Dennis - please do not make Catherine Marion the new host - no offence, Catherine, but you're not cut out for this.

I have been a loyal fan of Cityline for years.  I don't think I could continue watching if Catherine Marion got the job.

Pick someone who has some pizazz and great sense of humour - like Marilyn.

Marilyn is the best!!!  She's worth the highest salary to entice her back.

Re: MInd you Marilynn Dennison was good in fact excellent and it will be hard to replace her, remember years of working at t his.

Times change and People move on.  Get with the program, changes are always being done,  Anyone who takes the job spends hours do it and Cityline has made a name for itself and will continue no matter who the host Is.  I havent minded watching but it would be nice to have one host...

    Re: Cityline Host

Marilyn didn't leave because of salary she works for CTV and Cityline is now owned by Rogers. She will have a new show on CTV but they haven't said when it will start.

I'm not being nasty but I really can't listen to Catherine Marion her voice annoys me for some reason.  I was watching yesterdays show last night while my husband was working on the computer and he even said her voice was annoying to him. That's the problem we all have different ideas on who we would like to be the new host but I know there are a lot of people who have said on this forum not to give the job to Catherine Marion. if this weeks hosts are on the short list please make it Tracy Moore or Jen, I'm not sure though if Tracy Moore is ready to come back to work yet because of her baby. If she isn't please don't wait until she is and have the constant revolving door on hosts.

    Re: Cityline Host

I have watched the show for years now and think that Marilyn did a great job as well. There have been many good guest hosts but I can't stand Jennifer Valentine. If she was the permanent host I don't think I could watch everyday anymore.

For my ears,Catherine Marion was like a bird chirping....so sorry but she was.

I very much like Tracey Moore as well. She seems  relaxed and comfortable.  Refreshing for sure.

I have no problem with Jennifer, but there seems to be a bunch that do.

    Re: Cityline Host

Not loving any of the hosts so far. Canadians love hosts who are humble and not know-it-all but not out and out dumb. Also, the host has to ask the things I, as a viewer want to know, i.e., how much is it?, where can I get this stuff?, is it easy to do/make by myself? They really need to clone Marilyn Denis. She seemed to be the type who you could envision yourself having dinner with. It's innate and takes a special person. I agree with others that it would be tough to watch Catherine Marion, Tracy Moore or any of the others on an ongoing basis.

    Re: Cityline Host

Sorry, but have not liked the show since Marilyn left. Catherine Marion is terrible! Voice worse!

Jennifer just loves herself, and  I don't enjoy watching her at all. I think all the fuss has gone to her head! ( or feet!)

I do like Tracey, she has made the show worth watching.

If any of the three, please make it Tracey.

It is a shame that in the big city of Toronto, we cannot find a decent host!!

I totally agree with esmale, lets give Tracy a chance. When I found out yesterday that she got the job, I was happy for her, good for her. I know we all miss Marilyn, we're just so used to seeing her on City Line, she should be getting her new show  in the new year, can't wait to see her new show.

    Re: Cityline Host

I love Tracy. She always seems so interested in the guests and down to earth. She has a fun personality and quick wit. No one can replace Marilyn but Tracy does a great job and can make the show her own eventually!  Good choice!
