I've been searching high and low, trying to find an upright freezer (12 cu.ft.) that has the hinges on the left hand side.  All the 12 cu.ft. models are  manufactured with hinges on the right hand side.  Unlike refrigerators, they don't make upright freezers with the option of opening on either side.

There are one or two models available in the U.S. but none of the large chains that have stores on both side of the border are willing to order anything in for me.

I was hoping that someone out there may be able to shed some light on why this is or maybe Ramsin or some of the ladies on the show have run into this situation with some of their laundry/service room renovations and might have a solution. 

Perhaps try some local stores as well as the big ones.  Maybe a local store that sells scratch and dent appliances may have the freezer you need.

Thanks for the reply but I've been to/called/emailed every store I could find in the 519, 905 and 416.  I've even gone as far as emailing the manufacturers to ask why this is but have gotten no replies from any of them.  Apparently I'm the only person having this problem !...?
