it's funny really .. how on her final show Marilyn showed highlites from her early years and how different they were (not just due to plastic surgery!!) she was green, she was a bit nervous or tight compared to the veteran broadcaster we saw say farewell.
the sad part is that I used to watch all the time, I used to PVR it....now it is right out of BT, which I typically watch (love kevin, love love love kevin) and I turn the channel. it's not that I don't like tracy or the others who are parading through -- au contraire -- I just don't care to know what they share. it's not bad, it's not good, it's just not relevant. what made MD so great is that she asked MY questions. she wanted to know what I wanted to know and when something sounded like BS she would call the guest out on it and get to the truth of things whether it be food, crafts, fashion or some gadet that was going to be sold. I liked that when she put blue cheese into her mouth she didn't pretend to like it ... she said it was like "old socks" and almost spat it out.
non of the current "guest hosts" have the guts to be that real. Kathryn Humphries and MAYBE Jody Vance would have but the others seem to just want to pose and come across as pretty or whatever. WE DON'T WANT PRETTY we want SMART....we want GUTSY.
We miss MD and those who are the front runners are not even close to what the show needs.
