Where for art though.....new Cityline host(s)?????

I just read this week's newletter. It say's on Monday: "features host Elissa Lansdell" . On every day, other than Monday, it say's: guest host is......! So does that mean that Elissa is the new Host?

Well I hope so - cause I'm watching her right now and I think she's awesome.  Attractive, well-modulated voice, doesn't talk to much but stays engaged with the topic. As far as I'm concerned we've got a winner here.

I'm going to offer my opinion here and try not to sound "catty" while doing it. She (Elissa) didn't do it for me. Sure, she was pleasant. Has a great smile and nice laugh too. She seemed to get on well with the guests and she kept the show going but I found her voice very annoying. Too over the top. It sounded asmost like a characterization (sp?) of a "broadcaster's voice". Here's the part that may sound "catty". Way too much product in her hair. Not her fault. I'm sure there is someone that does the host's hair. Seemed almost greasy looking. The host should look polished and pulled together. Not too trendy but current. Absolutely not greasy!

Anyway, I'm sure who ever they pick to be the new host will do a great job. It will probably take a few weeks until they find their feet and set a new standard for the show. With any luck, both the long time viewers (older)  and the newer (younger) viewers will be happy in the long run. Change is hard especially when we were happy with the way things were.
