Ramsin, we will be doing a kitchen reno, removing the old cupboards and counters.In your work, what would you suggest is in, or the better one, oak ,cherry or white cupboards.I do like white and we thought of going to Home Depot ,can we get everything there?Now the counters, is black,the thing , I am feeling overwhelmed at present time.Call me strange, but I have seen green counters and I liked them, are they a no no, lol.I love green so thats where that comes from.Please help, as you see I need your it.

Annesea, if you love green...who cares what anyone else thinks....you have to live with it right?

Go with what you love and what will make you happy to see everyday. There is nothing wrong with a green countertop. The trick is to select one that is appealing wether you are going with stone or laminate.

If going with Stone, always look at the entire slab to ensure you love the look. If laminate, order a large sample so that you get a true sense of the overall look.
