Hello "Cityline" & "Ms. Marilyn" Devotees!
I adore the content & specifically Ms. Marilyn herself. She is smart, stylish, funny & "down to earth." I love that she asks the questions about which I'd also want information (where, what, pricing, accessorizing, the works!) Hopefully, her 'departure' is a rumour. I know that the producer, assistants, cameraman all contribute greatly in making "Cityline" the high calibre show that it is but oh, I'd miss "Marilyn" so much!
On a brighter note...
I am SO HAPPY to say that I got tickets for June 20th: "A Fashion Friday!" I'll tell you, this absolutely made this 44 year-old's whole year!! Ah, "Fashion Friday;" my favourite program day. I'll be the beaming blond with the cane (ironically, the one thing I'm too young for is a knee replacement- was taken out' @ a kids skating/toboggan party). And yes, I did see the show where "Walking Sticks' were featured. That did a great deal for my self-esteem!! Ah, life!
Re: "Fashion Friday" - don't you love & respect the show in that all of the models, outfits, makeup & hair experts are aimed at our age group (& of varying sizes, ethnicity's, ages) & are not clothing & tips for teenagers. I've learned so many things from that one "Cityline" Day itself, not to mention home decor. Cityline has the 'creme de la creme' of experts & panel members for each segment. After all of these years of watching (be they taped & enjoyed on the weekends or an actual date), the content is NEVER boring. It's current, fresh & always teaching me new things.
Let's collectively hope is the Ms. Marilyn is taking the summer off for some much needed rest. Imagine her schedule; the show & '104.5 Chum FM.'
If it proves to be true, we'll have to see how the show goes. I certainly don't want to see "Cityline" disappear. It's one of the best 'daily' shows on television; not 'from Canada' but, PERIOD
