I've never felt compelled to write in to a show before but... here it is.
I've been watching faithfully since becoming a stay at home mom (over a year ago). My daughter gets up early so I watch from 6 until it's over at 10.
I was sorry to see Tara go. I found her to be genuine and amiable. I enjoyed watching her banter with both Dave and Andrew and it seemed as though they all got on quite well. I didn't notice any animosity with guests as others have mentioned. Frankly I was surprised to hear she was leaving and stunned to find a petition for her removal on the internet. I wonder if this was part of the reason she left and if so, I have to wonder if that petition was truly representative of the majority of BT viewers.
Regardless, for the past 3 weeks I've found myself channel surfing and I've finally just stopped tuning in. I think Aisling is a good reporter but doesn't have the personality to carry this show. I can't watch the akward exchanges. I get the impression that her approach is schooled and methodical, making her attempts at impromptu obvious and insincere. I think I liked the show previously because I felt like I was watching a bunch of friends who enjoyed what they did. I can see that they're now in a transition period however I would have thought a show such as this would have had a better plan. I've got nothing to say about Jill, which probably speaks volumes in itself.
BT, you need a replacement (male or female) with a real personality. Take cues from your tabloid reporter, we want genuine, energetic, clever and witty people. Not manufactured. Do it quick too before you lose more of us.
