    Marilyn Denis leaving Cityline

    Hi all,

I read in the Mississauga news over the weekend that Marilyn's last day is May 23rd.

The show will not be the same without her! She is a fabulous host and I hope that she will

continue on television. Does this mean that Cityline will no longer exist?          MC

I agree the program works because of Marilyn!

Also why can't the CityLine program be replayed during the early evening when so many like myself are home and have a chance to watch the program?  If you could repeat it after 6 p.m. or at one of your sister stations so that people that do not have the opportunity to watch during the day unless we are at home ill can still view the program?

Look forward to hearing from CityLine.

The station that I watch it on airs it at 10 AM then the same episode is repeated at 3PM & sometimes I see it very early at 5AM and also repeats on Saturday afternoon.

Re: Marilyn Denis leaving Cityline- Let's Hope it's a Rumour!

Hello "Cityline" & "Ms. Marilyn" Devotees! Big Smile

I adore the content & specifically Ms. Marilyn herself. She is smart, stylish, funny & "down to earth." I love that she asks the questions about which I'd also want information (where, what, pricing, accessorizing, the works!) Hopefully, her 'departure' is a rumour. I know that the producer, assistants, cameraman all contribute greatly in making "Cityline" the high calibre show that it is but oh, I'd miss "Marilyn" so much!Broken Heart On a brighter note...

I am SO HAPPY to say that I got tickets for June 20th: "A Fashion Friday!" I'll tell you, this absolutely made this 44 year-old's whole year!! Ah, "Fashion Friday;" my favourite program day. I'll be the beaming blond with the cane (ironically, the one thing I'm too young for is a knee replacement- was taken out' @ a kids skating/toboggan party). And yes, I did see the show where "Walking Sticks' were featured. That did a great deal for my self-esteem!! Ah, life!

Re: "Fashion Friday" - don't you love & respect the show in that all of the models, outfits, makeup & hair experts are aimed at our age group (& of varying sizes, ethnicity's, ages) & are not clothing & tips for teenagers. I've learned so many things from that one "Cityline" Day itself, not to mention home decor. Cityline has the 'creme de la creme' of experts & panel members for each segment. After all of these years of watching (be they taped & enjoyed on the weekends or an actual date), the content is NEVER boring. It's current, fresh & always teaching me new things.

Let's collectively hope is the Ms. Marilyn is taking the summer off for some much needed rest. Imagine her schedule; the show & '104.5 Chum FM.' Paradise  If it proves to be true, we'll have to see how the show goes. I certainly don't want to see "Cityline" disappear. It's one of the best 'daily' shows on television; not 'from Canada' but, PERIODGift Kelly L. from Castleton (a.k.a. bookdiva;)

Re: Marilyn Denis leaving Cityline- Let's Hope it's a Rumour!

I hope it is a rumour, but sadly I think not.  I believe she has been picked up by the CBC.  I heard Cityline will continue with a new host and "The Divine Miss M" will be mov'n on up!  If any one could confirm this I would be grateful.

IT IS JUST NOT THE SAME WITHOUT HER! Sad
