Hard Time With Colour

    Hard Time With Colour

We are in the process of buying a property.  Out the front of the house is Lake Erie - to the east is a treed ravine - to the north is a farmer's field with bush beyond and to the west more treed ravine.  The house is an older Vice Roy home with a large wall of windows facing the lake.  The room with the windows is a great room comprising the kitchen, living and dining areas.  I am struggling with colour choices but have been leaning towards a warm taupe on the east and west walls, a spicy red for the north wall and a dark charcoal/brown for the window wall.  My reasoning for these choices is because they are warm and the dark colour will make the frame of the windows blend away so you only notice the trees and lake beyond.  If anyone has any other suggestions or cautions regarding my ideas, I would really like to hear back.
