H E L P Hi! all.....we need to replace our windows. All the baseboards, doors, staircase and trim in the house are a medium oak stain. Every window supplier we spoke with, does not finish off the windows on the inside in an oak trim. We were told the cost is too high nowdays and you can't even buy trim in oak (wood). We have two options, the indoor trim on the "new" window can either be vinyl (maintainence free and colour choices of white/taupe/beige) or a balsam wood (I think it was balsam). We would have to stain the balsam trim ourselves or hire someone. There is no way we will be able to match the stain on window trim with the rest of the house... Suggestions????? Would it look stupid to have the window trim in white and the rest of the house trim stained???? - I think yes?
