    No to Jennifer Valentine

I really don't think she's a good choice and if they choose Jennifer I will stop watching and I've been watching since Dini Petty was on. Jennifer has LARGE ego. I don't want to here about one her singing gigs or how perfect her kids are. I really enjoy watching cityline and I don't want to stop because the host is an egomaniac.

You joined today just to tell everyone you don't like her.  Being proud of yourself and your kids doesn't mean you have an ego.  You sound jealous.  There is a lot of people who would disagree with your comments.  You can't please everyone.

    Re: No to Jennifer Valentine

No I didn't just join today this was my first post. I am voicing my opinion because I know the producers are reading comments about the next host. I do not like Jennifer's style. Being a parent myself I believe children should be left out of the spot light when there parents work in front of the camera. I always thought Marilyn handled her fame and family life very well. The first time I ever saw her son was the last show and he was an adult who could decide to be seen or not. I have seen Jennifer's children countless times already and they are very young.

We obviously do not agree. But I am entitled to my opinion. If they do hire Jennifer they will lose a 21 year viewer of Cityline.

    Re: No to Jennifer Valentine

I love when someone threatens a TV show to do what they say or else "I wont watch anymore."  That shows a lot of class.  Jennifer is as popular as Kevin Frankish and has a HUGE following.  Jennifer would bring more viewers with her than any other person we've seen.  Her talent in the studio and outside is the complete package.  Comparing Marlyn and Jennifer Valentyne is like apples and oranges, I'm glad their different.  If you have someone better to host good luck.  You can take the credit if the show doesn't succeed.

    Re: No to Jennifer Valentine

Actually, I like Jennifer Valentyne.  I've been watching her for years.  She always does a good job.  I don't know why the producers just didn't give her the job and spare us all from those other annoying guest hosts.

It's great that Jennifer feels comfortable enough to talk about her kids on air.

Of course, we're all entitled to our opinions. I'm sure they're worried about losing you as a viewer after 21 years!.

    Re: No to Jennifer Valentine

I would miss Jennifer on BT -- the live eye isn't nearly as good when she is away. I met her when she was at a charity event and she is NOT an ego maniac. She is sweet and smart and funny. She balances out the over-the-top Dina and compliments the ultra cool, in a very geeky sort of way, Kevin.

Frank needs to keep doing what Frank does (BT and Frankie's Flowers) don't mess with a good thing City.

    Re: No to Jennifer Valentine

I like what you're saying, but she would compliment the guests on Cityline even better.  I think BT is holding her back and has big potential to be something more.  Anyway the summer has been fun, but the show needs to pick a host.

    Re: No to Jennifer Valentine

If you want someone to compliment the guests and shake things up a bit, then Dina Pugliese is your type of host.  She is quick-witted, bubbly, funny, smart and keeps you on your toes in the same type of manner that Marilyn did.  There isn't anyone that can replace Marilyn......love you Marilyn......but I do believe that Dina will keep the show fresh with her strong personality, not to mention her strong opinions.  The best part about her is that this is her true personality, on and off the air so she's a natural.  No matter how good the show is, the host is the glue that keeps it together.

    Oyyyy!!

These posts are getting so repetitive.  Three months of this game of ping pong is too much!!

The pro-Dina and pro-Jennifer camps should relax - both those gals are OUT of the running.

Listen to Sammycat - it will be a fresh NEW talent for Cityline (as it should be)

A new talent who is that?  What if they surprise the viewers with someone new, and nobody like the new host then what?

Try again, you're wrong.  Don't believe everything you read.

    Re: No to Jennifer Valentine

I totally again.  I hate watching BT when Jennifer is on.  I've been watching Cityline and BT for 18 yrs.  Jennifer has got really bad the last 4 yrs.

I would not be able to watch Cityline as she bothers me so much.

    Re: No to Jennifer Valentine

These posts may be getting repetitive but so is this game.  I, like so many others, have stopped watching all together.  Nothing to look forward to except new hosts and there is no continuity and not too much rappore with the regular guests on the show.  If Cityline doesn't make up it's mind soon, the only thing new will be that the show didn't survive.  What a shame!
