It has been several months now since Blood Ties finished its first run in Canada, and since we were given to believe there might be some hope for renewal of this great series. Since then, fans have done everything we could think of to show "you" (whomever and wherever "you" may be) that the audience support was there; everything from emails to blog posts to charity drives in the name of Blood Ties.
From you Blood Ties owners, aka "the big empty" we have heard exactly nothing.
On the other hand CBS announced it will soon air the last four new episodes of pre-strike Moonlight and a fall pickup for season two of Moonlight is looking good right now. HBO has just given the green light to its new vampire series, True Blood, for the fall 2008.
We've not heard, "give us time we're working on it" , or "there are problems that we hope to solve but it may take months", or even "forget it...its over". Frankly, we deserve better from you. We are, after all, the real bottom line...the real paying customer. Please throw us a bone and give us some word. Now!
But please note: if you end up deciding too late to renew this show, and the cast and creative team have rightly moved on to other things...don't even think of pulling a Farscape on us and blaming them for not being available to continue...it won't wash.
