    Renew Blood Ties

My teenage daughter found the 1st eposoide and we fell in love with the show.   She got all of her girlfriends hooked; even some of the guys were enjoying it.  I talked about it 'over the water cooler' and by the 3rd show we had 15 to 20 people waiting.  And you did not make it easy on us by putting it one on week, canceling it the next, and then sticking it anywhichway the third!!!!   If you were tring were trying to pass a course in 'How to Kill A Good Show' you all got A+'s.

Have you noticed that most of television is reality shows.  These do not appeal to everyone.  In our home we turn the TV OFF and read a book or watch History,Civilization,TLC etc., or find a good DVD.  All your advertizers  have lost an entire family.  We all enjoyed Blood Ties.  There was enough supernatural goory stuff for my 14 yr, son, enough vampire love story for the girls and a really good story for my husband and I.  Have you read the books?  The show enbraced the ideas of the books and enlarged the story line.  You can't stop now - is Corinne save, what about the priest, Henry can't leave Vicky trying to figure out what to do with a demon!!!!  Will Mike get his job back; will he really leave Vicky and try to find a nice Italian girl to settle doen with?   YOU CAN NOT leave Henry and Vicky with out at least 1 good kiss when they are themselves.

Please bring this show back, put it in a time slot when people will watch it, and make a whole seasons of it - the writers strike is over so everyone can start writing.  Please save Henry, Vickie, Corinne and Mike - Their story still needs to be seen.  Thank you

Yes...please re-new BLOOD TIES.   Find all on-line petitions for BLOOD TIES and sign them ALL!  Our voices can be heard, if we all scream loud enough.  It worked for Jericho, it can work for our show BLOOD TIES too!   The above letter states it all, it's like taking the words right out of my mouth.  No show grabbed me from the get go and got me hook. line and sinker, like BLOOD TIES does.

**** Save BLOOD TIES.....write and keep up the fight ****

    Re: Renew Blood Ties

I 2nd that notion. This show is FANTASTICally BRILLANTlly so far ahead of what is on tv now. I live in Nashville,TN and it has been long agonizing MONTHS since it's been on the tube. at least it is still airing there. I have also tried...to no avail..to purchase the dvd's. well they are not available in the US yet. Maybe this is a sign that the powers that be are looking for a station to pick it up. Also I agree...I have enough of reality in life I surely do not want to come home to see it on tv. As a Registered Nurse of the operating room I see enough!!!! Bring on the fantasy...and boy does this series fit the bill....WE LOVE THIS SHOW.....AS MUCH OR MORE THAN THE JERICO FANS.......PLEASE BRING IT BACK!!! too many unanswered questions. TTFN.

    Re: Renew Blood Ties

I just want to add my support to renewing Blood Ties.  It's a much better show than Moonlight - better characters, much better chemistry between the leads, much much better lead female character.  Vicki is stronger, much more sensible, a woman to admire, not a victim.  And both male leads are much hotter and more interesting characters.  So bring it back, please!!  I really like to see a good home-grown show.

    Re: Renew Blood Ties

Oh I completely agree. Blood Ties hasn't been given the respect from the networks it deserves. It is an amazing show, well written, great actors and just plain fun to watch. The interactions between the main characters is engaging. Vicky as the strong female lead is empowering to women. The perky Goth (Coreen) makes you question the sullen/suidical goth labels tossed about. Mike shows you a compasionate and understanding side of police officers not typically protrayed in the tough as nails PD shows you see. And Henry is a refreshingly unappologetic vampire. He is what he is and enjoys the life he has now, not some "oh I'm cursed to be a monster boohoo" vampire like most you see in entertainment.

I used to have plans on Sundays until I happened across Blood Ties and that all changed. I made sure I was home in time to sit down with my husband and watch Blood Ties. It's the only show I could get my husband to watch with me. Sad Then suddenly the times change and again and again until I have no clue when it actaully stopped airing since we couldnt keep track of it. It's such a shame that it was treated like that. After the US writers started striking I told myself I'd not watch online shows, HOWEVER I feel forced to with Blood Ties. I log onto my mother's Lifetime account and watch with my husband whenever we can but we want MORE! Broken Heart

And as far as the reality shows go I agree there too. I'd rather watch a DVD I have seen 100x over than that crap. I can't believe the stupid lengths some ppl go to in order to get on TV for a few minutes. It's sick and a bad sign of the times. Where are all the writers? And the fact that Canadian writers were not effected by the strike and Blood Ties STILL wasnt picked up just makes me insane. We air US made cookie cutter reality BS and dump the excellent talent of Canadian writers like the ones on the Blood Ties team??????Angry SAD and a bit traitorous! You'd think the fact that Blood Ties wasnt effected by the strike would have enticed the US networks to picking it up but nope they pump out more swill. Ick! It's a slap in the collective Canadian face.

    SAVE BLOOD TIES!

Vicki: Henry, it’s just a conversation. It’s nothing to worry about.
Henry: That’s what my father said to Anne Boleyn . . . right before he took her head.

    Re: Renew Blood Ties

Promotion efforts and a good, consistent time slot are all the network needs to do.  The Blood Ties creative team and the fans will take care of the rest.

But you have to step up to the plate.  Don't let this great Canadian show die.  Start a new Canadian TV programming trend:  staying power!

Oh yes, and we all know "Ted" has the blunt to make this happen!  Yes

I completely agree!  This show is so addicting!  We just have to get these actors and writers back to work on this amazing show!  There are so many questions left unanswered and so many more stories left to tell!

    Re: Renew Blood Ties

I agree with all the above posts!  This is my first time on this forum, but I just had to have my say on "Save Blood Ties Day"!!!  This is a wonderful show that deserves more push than the networks have given it.  I am so glad that Spacecast will start the reruns this week - but an announcement on new episodes would be sooooo much better!

    Re: Renew Blood Ties

Well I just finished watching a really good episode of Blood Ties. I am hooked I have been watching it for about the last couple of months and am hoping to find the seaons in the stores. I would really like to see the very first episode where she meets HenryStick out tongue. I watched the pacifier just to see him in it. I am totally head over heels for kyle. I am also in the process of reading "THE BLOOD BOOKS" I have read the first half of book one and am almost halfway through the seond book. I am hooked.

KEEP THE SHOW ON THE AIR. IT IS WELL THOUGHT OUT AND HAS MANY GREAT PLOTS.
