Re: I need help! I have 'Saddlebag Syndrome'

I have a really big problem! I HATE MYSELF!

I call my problem 'Saddlebag Syndrome'. It is my stomach. It is absolutely disgusting. It also have the worse stretch marks I have ever seen to top it off.  I had two kids within two years. After I had them, I started exercising to loose weight, but now have stopped because the more weight I loose, the more my saddlebag moves south. I am just finding pants are fitting better on my legs from loosing weight, but I can't stuff my saddlebag into my pants. And even when I can manage too, it looks so gross. I feel so awful about myself that I cry all the time. I can't look at girls with flat stomachs anymore because its hurts so much. The problem is girls with flat stomachs are everywhere.
I can't afford to get this fixed and its killing me. I would need a major tummy tuck. I don't know what I can do to feel better about myself.
Its really hard to imagine until you actually see it so I want to offer everyone a chance to see it.
Just click here to look at my stomach: http://www.imageuploads.net/ims/pic.php?u=182384PH3F&i=123497

I don't know if anyone can help me....but I don't know what else to do. I can't go on this way.
I want to be there for my kids but its got to the point where I won't even go in public. What about this summer when I should be taking my kids outside?

    Thanks everyone and take care

Re: I need help! I have 'Saddlebag Syndrome'

Im no expert on anything in this field but I did just want to write just to let ya know some is listening. Thats  the first thing you need to work on. Getting the people who are important to listen. Maybe start with your doctor or a specialist and also your partner. I feel really bad for you. You have a nasty problem and even though all of us will tell you its the beauty on the inside that counts the truth is its hard to feel good when you dont feel good about yourself..

The first I would think you should do is set up an appointment with your doctor. Maybe you have talked to him and he has told you there is nothing he can do but dont take that for an answer. Surgurys to correct this kind of thing are cosmetic and usually arent covered but in some cases they will if a persons health is at risk. A good doctor may be able to find a way.  Its obvious by your writings that to me this is causing you severe depression and that is as good of a reason in my mind as any. Your doctor needs to know how your feeling and if he just shrugs it off you need to be finding someone else to listen to you.  Do some inquiring on your own even. Check out some a few enhancement centres and get some consoletation on the matter. Maybe they can send you to someone who can get the wheels rolling? You would be surprised how many surguries they do that are actually covered by ohip. Either way it will help you figure out your options. Your partner needs to know how you feel also. This might not be the right time for you guys to help yourselves with this issue but things change and some things are more important then having that extra car in the drive or that vacation. Things take time but if you plan the time waiting will be much easier and well worth it.

Maybe you have already tried all this. I dont know.. I just thought throwing some ideas at you might help. The main thing that you need to do is never give up. Be patient yet focused. Things never happen as quick as you want them to but if you want something bad enough it will happen. In the mean time love your kids and focus on them. I know mine are what makes me smile and keeps my mind of other things that bother me. No matter what shape or form you take as you get older your kids will always see you as there mom and moms are beautiful no matter what.

Anyways.. Good luck to you Amanda and try to stay positive.

Re: I need help! I have 'Saddlebag Syndrome'

    Hello

    Thanks for all your advice.

The doctors here won't do anything for me. I even get boils underneath the skin and they still don't care.

I have tried everything to try and love myself but its no use. Even if I wake up in the morning feeling good. All its takes is for me to feel my stomach or see it. Well, its my stomach, kind of hard to avoid feeling and seeing.

I don't know what to do. Summer weather is approching fast.

    I Just Hate myself.
