    lynn spence

Am I the only one that finds this "expert" the most irritating person on Cityline?  I am a long time viewer and honestly I switch the channel when she is on.  I think perhaps she should buy a thesauras to find substitute words for "absolutlley" and "quite".. Drives me crazy.  As well I was watching the other day when she was on with Ramsin (whom I love) and she constantly interrupts him.  I much prefer he be on alone so I could get tips from him without having to listen to her ramblings.. Im sorry Im sure she is "absolutely" a wonderful person and "quite" informative in her own right but I just find her a little pushy and she interrupts to much..

    Re: lynn spence

I, too, change the channel when Lynn Spence comes on.  The way she talks in run-on sentences doesn't sit right with me.  "Look at how absolutely wonderful this is, and this and this.  AND look at this wonderful thing that I brought in to show you, and don't you love this?"  However, I've heard a lot of people say that they enjoy her; so I just chalk it up to fact that not everybody can like the same thing.  If nothing else, Lynn Spence is very enthusiastic.

I do very much enjoy Ramsin, but I suspect he's got the type of personality that doesn't make him feel as though he needs to be the center of attention.  Last week, I noticed that Brian Gluckstein (who I also enjoy) interupted him a number of times, and Ramsin just stepped back and let Brian talk.  While I wish that Ramsin would be the focus of the show little more often, I suspect this part of his personality is why we all seem to like him so much.

Lynn Spence looks like she would be a blast to hang around with. She is a shopper's dreamgirl. I love the enthusiasm she has for so many different things, almost like a child like wonder. She is genuine, she is a gem!!! Leave her alone.

I agree! I love her enthusiasm, not to mention the wonderful fashions she finds.  I would feel confident in anything she would pick out for me. I am always thrilled when she is on the show.

I have gone to many tapings of CityLine and I am actually going to another one in June but Lynn is actually quite serious when the camera is not on. At least that's what I noticed and I have gone to about 7 tapings and she has been at about 3 or 4 of those.

How lucky to get to some tapings, just curious, who did you like when you were on ?

    Re: lynn spence

Yes, I find her really annoying.  She uses the wrong words to explain things (for example, she should call fabric "fabric" instead of using "fabrication" which means the "manufacturing of an item").  When she uses large words to explain something that simple language can explain, she comes off sounding pompous and uneducated. She comes off as someone who is trying too hard to impress.  I think all her "energy" on stage is really nervous insecurity.

Bite your tongues - I just fell upon this commentary.  I just had a conversation with a friend about how much we LOVE Lynn.  It would be a dream to shop with her.  Her enthusiasm and 'focus to be fabulous' is exhilerating.  After listening to her on Cityline, I am ready to shop.  What I love about her is that she is passionate about her job - there are not many who are - she treats every segment with a seemingly true interest and zeal!  That is television that viewers want to watch.  She is a breath of fresh air!
