    Marilyn Was Over-rated

That's right. I don't mind saying it. She bore me to tears and I'm glad she's gone. Any new host will be an improvement on Marilyn. I'm sure she'll be fine at CTV doing specials on how to do rehab after hip surgeries. If they're going to go with current employees then they should go with Dina Pugliese. She could do this show with her eyes closed and hands tied behind her back. Mind you, she probably should just have her own talk show. Forget about Jenn Valentine. There's a reason she's been the Puff Piece Girl for almost two decades. As for new people altogether, I think Stephanie Beaumont would be the best pick.

There are all kinds of people in this world, with many differing opinions.  Jackson CJ's opinion was insulting and rude.  Their is one thing lacking in that post....RESPECT!

I still prefer Jennifer!  I also think Jennifer truly likes what she's been doing and didn't want a change, now she wants that change.   I think the new host will be annoying after awhile.  I think she's trying to hard to be funny all the time.

Besides it's the guests and the topic that makes the show not the host!

    Hey JacksonCJ,

Why don't you tell us how you really feel?  Really now, no holding back!   Did you just realize after almost 20 years that you don't like Marilyn?  I love Dina as much as you do but I sure wouldn't trample over Jenn or anyone else to make your point.  Good thing you're not on the panel to choose the new host.

I am so glad I was not the only one who thought this was just plain rude. Please post again, tell us why you watched Marilyn in the first place if you thought so low of her. There is no doubt,Marilyn was loved and liked, as was proven in her departure.

My daughter and I both really liked Marilyn.  We are sorely disappointed that she is no longer hosting the show.    We think she handled the show brilliantly, and was refreshingly natural. We logged onto this site soley to say so.

Listen up CJ if your intent was to provoke a meaningful dialogue you've been successful. Meanwhile out here on the prairies we miss Marilyn and wish her continues success wherever life takes her.

    Re: Marilyn Was Over-rated

I must admit that I wasn't a daily viewer but when I did catch cityline I enjoyed watching Marilyn she's what made the show fun and I loved her personality. Now that she's gone the show isn't the same no one can replace her I have seen a bit with the new hosts but they don't make me want to watch the entire show - they truly bore me sorry to say! Does anyone know why Marilyn left??

    Re: Marilyn Was Over-rated

It is going to be modeled after the ELLEN show.  A daytime variety talk show.

& similar to the new daytime Bonnie Hunt show with a live house band.

Marilyn will interview celebs and news worthy people. Have guests on with varying backgrounds with human interest stories.  Lots of emphasis on the current music scene/guests. There will be  audience participation and gifts.

Her first guest will be Jan Arden & or Bryan Adams.

(disclaimor: of course, this is what I am hoping for and may not at all be f/actual)
