Fashion Friday - June 27 - Smart Set collection

    Hello everyone,

I really hope that someone from Cityline reads this...

I love Fashion Fridays and really like it when you feature clothes that I can afford - like Smart Set.

However, could you PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE feature more models in different sizes to show off the clothes?

I mean, I'm not the size 2 or 4 or even 6 like the models you use on the show.  The clothes will always look great on those models.  I love the ideas you show, but then when I go to the store to try to "imitate" the look, it looks horrible on me because I'm a size 12/14.  It just doesn't look right.

The store offers size 14 and they aren't listed as a plus size store.

Why not show the clothes on different people of different sizes?

Maybe you could mention what size they are wearing.

In my opinion, it would offer a better view of the clothing on different types of bodies.

I hope you at Cityline will take this into consideration with all the changes you are making to the show.

I agree!!! And while we're on the subject, what about us vertically challenged ladies?? If there aren't any (or they can't find any) models to strutt the cityline catwalk with these challenges, then why not get some of the viewers involved? What fun it would be to see viewers like ourselves on the sityline catwalk!!!

As the audience has a variety of sized and aged ladies they should have more clothes for the average size woman. I mean who is a size 2 ( I even see size 0 when I go out) I occasionally find clothes at Smart Set that not only fit but suit and are within my price but not that often.

That is a great idea of having audience members model. After all they do make overs all the time this could just be a variation

I agree with you 100%. It would be fun to see models that we can relate to. Not everyone can wear the clothes their thin models wear.Smile

You hit the nail on the head!  That's what I was trying to say.  :)

It would be fun to see some people in the audience model the clothes - love the idea - but it might be a little difficult to dress them all before the show starts.

What if while they were shopping for the clothes for the show, they could ask random people shopping if they would like to be models?

Or...what if the audience could volunteer to be models and go shopping a day or two before with Sandra (or whom ever).  They pick people from the audience to have makeovers, why not pick them to model as well?

I don't care if they don't know how to "walk a runway".

I care about the clothes they are wearing and how it relates to me.

Great ideas ladies!  I hope City Line responds to this thread.

Don't know if any of the producers read this but I agree with this idea.

If you want a make over you need to request one ( they don't just pick you from the audience that day so they should do the same about fashion Friday.

Average people ( not models) should send in their profiles,  where they would wear a new wardrobe and the price  they are willing to pay.

Some of the outfits they show are nice for models to wear but not only do the average women have a difficult time finding it to fit but not everyone has that ammount of money to spend on an outfit . I mean who has over $300.00 to spend on a casual dress
