I am sorry to see Tara leave the show.  She has done a great job and it will take a while to adjust to her replacement. 

 Does anyone know what she is going to be doing now? 

Yes I totally agree, she did a great job and was a nice person to wake up to on this morning show.  The problem with replacing her is that her best attribute to the show was her true personality, so many of these others are to "TV", Tara brought her personality to the show.  She had opinions, emotions and causes that I liked to see, even if I did not always agree with them.  I watched BT Edmonton over Xmas visiting family and their hosts were so TV cookie cutter, I just hope that BT Calgary doesn't go that way too.  Good luck Tara.

I am so glad Rogers decided to do the right thing and get new hosts for BT. The show is so much better now. It sre was stale with the old hosts. Calgary is now much better off. Yea Rogers!

OMG! Has Tara really left the show for good? This is great news! The show is soooo much better with new hosts. Is Dave Kelly gone too? That would be perfect. Viewers will come back from Global I'm sure.

I  haven't been able to watch the show in the last while and couldn't figure out why Dave and Tara not on.

 I am sorry to see Tara go, as someone else has stated, she was such a natural.

 

I watched BT in London, Ontario, Toronto, Ontario, and they are such dull shows.  Their hosts are just so lifeless.

 

Hope Tara will be happy in whatever else she does.

I think Aisling has the natural personality too.

 

Glad to hear Dave is only on a holiday.       People who think he should be gone are a few bricks short .

Calgarians spoke and Rogers listened. Thank you Rogers! You have gained many new fans for your show. Personally I and many others do not enjoy Dave Kelly. Change is always good.

What are they thinking getting rid of Tara????? Her and Dave are the only good things about BT!  If Dave goes then I am  definitely done with this show. The new people are BORING!!

Thank you to all of our concerned viewers who have inquired about the whereabouts of Tara McCool. As we announced on Breakfast Television April 4^th, Tara has decided to leave Citytv after several enjoyable years on the air. We are sorry to see her go and wish her much happiness and success.

We are presently searching for a co-host to work with longtime host Dave Kelly and the rest of the BT team. We’ll let everyone know once a decision has been made. Until then, we hope you continue to tune in and enjoy Calgary’s favourite morning show!

I think Breakfast tv made a HUGE mistake, why didn't someone try to keep her ???????, usually in the business world, if your going to lose somebody, the management trys different things to keep their key people.  Tara, GONNA MISS Ya.  Any idea where she went and what's shes going to be doing.

Tara if you read these posts I wanted to let you know that I really enjoyed watching you and Dave every morning. You are a real natural with the camera, great rapport with your guests and a great sense of style!! Gave me something to look forward to every morning. I was sad to hear you were gone.

I wish they would put Tara back. Why did she leave anyway? Can't they find someone better than Jill? She has a fake smile and it is very obvious. She just doesn't have the natural like the others do.

I think Nicola and Denisedel are crazy...and maybe jealous!  Tara McCool has been a staple of BT in Calgary and with her gone the show has definitely gone down a few notches.  She has a genuine easy way about her in her interaction with others.  I am not going to knock Jill, I don't think she is fake, she actually seems to interact well with Dave but I don't think I will continue to watch the show.  The best morning combinition on the show was definitely Tara, Dave and Suzanne.

AWESOME WORK PEOPLE!!!   I don't know if it was just me, but it seemed that Tara rubbed a lot of guests AND her coworkers the wrong way with her unwavering opinions.  JEBB, IT IS SAFE TO COME BACK HOME NOW!!!   Now that Tara is gone, you guys should reunite Jebb and Dave!!    If not Jebb, at least Ainsling is better than the other one that was one for awhile (why can't I remember her name????)   I would also hope that Suzanne Fox can come back soon.

 

Keep up the good work in changing up the staff.......Lose Dave Kelly, and you lose a viewer!!  He is the cement of the show for sure!!

Don't ever lose Dave Kelly, otherwise I won't bother to watch BT.  Jebb has nothing to offer, he is not at all funny and Suzanne is a nonentity to the show as far as I'm concerned. I find her too stuck on herself.

Jill is a fine person but she is no replacement for Tara.  She just doesn't have the 'it' that Tara did.  Tara's personality far outshines that of Jill's. 

I'm happy for a change but Gawd, couldn't they get rid of Andrew, that guy is terrible and can barely do the weather.  Why let him co-host?  I like Jill but she was better doing the entertainment, her personality came through better, she needs to not be afraid to show her personality as a co-host.  I think Tara will land on her feet.  She always pops up somewhere but I was getting tired of the same old same old.
