Strip Clubs - Do They Belong In Your Neighbourhood?

Why are they against stripping?  I say to the protesters: what are you religious or something?  religion isn't real, snap out of it.

The reporter was biased when she said hopefully the strip club won't be around much longer.

The protesters were exploiting their kids by using them in the protest (on TV as well).

What's wrong with stripping?  why is it considered harmful?  a kid can watch TV and see people murdered horrifically in cold blood, but for some reason a picture of a beautiful dancer is more damaging to them?

My theory as to why violence is put on TV more than nudity, is because nudity = freedom while violence = fear.  makes everyone easier to control.

I wonder what would be more damaging to a child, seeing on TV, a gun put to someone's head and their brains blown out the back of their head, or a penis entering a vagina, lol

How would you explain each of the following to a child if they happen to ask:

    A) Penis entering Vagina:  This is what most animals do to procreate, including the human species, it's a natural thing, no big deal.

    B) Brains blown out the back of head:  Some people are evil, be careful of all the evil people out there, they might try to do this to you one day, live in fear.

    :D

Also, that "neighbourhood" was a dump long before there was a strip club, if anything, the club adds some class to the place. ;)

    And speaking of Toronto "neighbourhoods":

All these downtown so called "neighbourhoods" (lol) should be torn down anyway and replaced with 30 storey condos.  Selfish Toronto N.I.M.B.Y.s are contributing to urban sprawl and climate change.  Torontonians are nimbys against transit and nimbys against preventing urban sprawl, by "protecting" their "neighbourhood" from development into a real city.  Toronto is a subdivision city.  Farm fields are being paved over around the GTA, when old houses in downtown Toronto should be torn down instead, to make room for condos and public transit.  But Torontonians aren't willing to do their part and sacrifice for climate change.

Strip clubs are degrading to women, promote prostitution and other illegal activities.  Surely an educated man with half a brain wouldn't be caught dead in a strip club. Most women that work in these clubs do so because they can't make that kind of money at another job.  In this day and age women are still being exploited by sickos that patronize these strip clubs.  These guys are also I'm sure regulars at their local massage parlours.  These places should all be banned from the planet nevermind a neighborhood.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know the area where the Strip Club.  I lived in the area for about 10 years.

There is a Senior's Home, a few Schools,LAMP and many up-coming retail stores in this family-homes area.

There is no no need for a strip-bar anymore. Or the issues that having a strip club bring..

I hope that Toronto Council change whatever by-law to stop "gentlemen's club" in this residential region..

Perhaps, if the councillor ward of 6 instead of ward 5-the area would be all condo on every "empty space", despite of the traffic, lack of infrastructure and a local supermarket...

    JMHO

ps, where the spellcheck on this board???

    If i wasn't crazy, I'd be insane.
