Do not like Liz West at all for the host or Jennifer V from Breakfast Television.  I actually think Dina did a great job!  I think she would be a great host!  Jennifer is very annoying and a little on the hyper side I find to host this show.  She's okay I suppose at her current Live Eye job but can't see her on CityLine.

I am watching Dina right now and she's doing a great job. Very personable. The only thing I don't like is her heavyweight championship belt - guess ya can't have everything Big Smile

We need to see a softer more gentler side of Dina.  She is very assertive.  She should concentrate on making her guests shine instead of worrying about how she is doing in front of the camera....

    Re: New Cityline Host

Jody Vance was the host on Monday, she's worked in sports tv so that's why I think the audience didn't know her work. But then i dont' know the radio host who is filling in tomorrow either. lol.

Big SmileHi  I got to see Dina Pugliese and she was pretty good also. SO now I've got 3 choices.

    1) Jennifer Valintyne

    2) Jessica Holmes

    3) Dina Puliese

But still NO NO NO to Liz West. I saw her the second time & sorry I still don't like her.

    None of the above, thanks.

This process shows what a phenomenal talent Marilyn Dennis is!

She made it look easy - just like an elite athlete!!

    Re: New Cityline Host

I just saw last week's show with host Liz West. I was embarrassed for that girl. She could not carry the show and constantly was outspoken with the guests. Please say no to Liz West as a host.

I am now watching the show with Christine Cardoso. Wow! She is mature, polite and totally professional. She seems in her element and is natural with the guests.

Please don't recycle a Citytv tv personality as Cityline's new host.

A fresh new face is what we need. I think Christine Cardoso is the person you are looking for! I am not familar with her but I feel comfortable watching her host Cityline. She is dressed comfortably. She is not loud or overbearing. She seems familar with everything.

Christine Cardoso is the best person I have seen host Cityline so far.

    Re: New Cityline Host

I have to agree with the last post. LIZ WEST is not a good fit for this show and I'm being kind.

Loved this morning's show. Christine Cordoso was excellent and a very pleasant surprise!!!! She did everything right. She was very respectful of the experts and was just plain comfortable to watch - no hype or loud over the top enthusiasm. She gave us just enough personal information without making the show about her. The secret to the success of CItyLine has always been Marilyn's professionalism and ability to connect with the guests and the audience. Christine is a definite keeper - the best so far in my opinion.

    Re: New Cityline Host

I have watched all the hosts and I now have a new favorite, Christine Cardoso!  I thought she was great.  Just like the previous poster said, she was warm and likeable but also very professional and that is a tough balance.  And for someone who's experience is in radio, she was very comfortable on camera and will probably only get better and better.  I want to see more Christine.

    Well done Christine!!

Wonderful first effort - she'll only get better.  Lovely countenance!

    Re: New Cityline Host

Christine seemed natural and at ease this morning.  There was no hyperactivity or shouting, which has happened previously.  She seemed respectful and appreciative of the expertise of the guests.  Sign her up!

    Re: New Cityline Host

I have to add a check mark for Christine. Unlike those of you who where familiar with the guest hosts so far, I had seen none before other than Jessica Holmes. So I don't have any idea of how they do other than the day or so they have hosted but Christine really seems like a good fit and I could easily watch her if today was a typical example. I didn't grit my teeth or feel like throwing something at the TV once which was a nice change after the last Homeday (which I had to turn off) or Tuesday's show which I barely got through and only watched to see because I was interested in what the experts were trying to say.

    Re: New Cityline Host

I have to agree with the others..Christine did a fine job today.

It was so nice to be able to just relax and enjoy the show again.

Let's test her out some more..like say for the next 19 years or so!

    Re: New Cityline Host

I have to agree and say I LOVED Christine Cardoso hosting CityLine this morning.  She was so at ease, and you actually enjoyed watching the show, without all the interruptions (unlike some other Guest-Hosts).  She seems like a natural in that seat!!  I hope to see Christine Cardoso hosting CityLine again... soon... and often!!
