I don't mean to be unkind but watching Catherine Marion is like watching Mary Hart "gone daytime"..... a very disturbing thought!!!
I have never posted on a forum until this Cityline thing came up but this whole thing affects me greatly. This show has always been so great that I don't want to see it fail.
In my mind, I would like the new host to be someone with whom I would want to go out for coffee - a real person who is fun to be with but at the same time someone who has the professionalism to do this job. So far this is a very short list. I think that I could watch the following people doing CItyline;
Jenn - she is professional but comes across as funny and likeable
Stephanie - she is like a breath of fresh air and seems to be very interested in the topics being presented - very cute and engaging and judging from her resume is not a "lightweight"
Tracey Moore seems to be very comfortable in this role
Dina is overly enthusiastic but is funny and professional
Kathryn Humphries was great but I think her niche is sports reporting
Christine Cordoso was lovely but has disappeared off the radar.
There is no doubt that Marilyn owned this show but as many have said she had 19 years to hone her skills. This show is losing it's edge by carrying on with these audtitions for too long.
