Ep. 8 - Hell Yes! Final Two!

Going from four to two girls is so strange!  Especially considering that Tia is gone.  I think it's fairly obvious that I was closest to Tia in the house and it's going to be so different without her.  Not only that, but who's going to fill the silence now?  Seeing Tara go is also hard because I was just beginning to get closer to her.  Tara is definitely a person I'll never forget - on first impression she might be a little rough around the edges, but once you get to know her you see she's just a wimp like the rest of us J  I wish the two girls the best, and although I'm sad to see them go, I just have to say.... HELL YES! FINAL TWO! Phew, I needed that. Anyways, gotta go practice my runway walk!  Nice chatting with you.

Ep. 7 - "Yonkafied" by Yonka

Only 4 girls left! Wow, its unreal!  The house feels so empty but we're all so excited for everything to come!  Tomorrow's going to be our last photo shoot so the pressure's really going to be on.  This week started off fairly interesting, as we were all "Yonkafied" by one of Canada's first super models, Yonka.  A very different experience, and honestly, a little unorthodox for my taste, but we still had a lot of fun!  Next, we had a cover try photo shoot with Fashion magazine which was tonnes of fun (especially because I could smile!) and sadly, in the end, Cori was eliminated.  I'm excited to see how the rest of the competition will pan out, there still being 4 girls and everything.  Anyways, gotta go get my beauty sleep!  Wish me luck!

Ep. 6 - The Biggest Misconceptions

WOW a Top Model first! No one sent home on elimination day? Totally unexpected!  Tara and Tia were in the bottom two and when Jay pulled out the photo I couldn’t make out whose it was, so I looked to the girls for their facial expressions to give it away….then I realized they were both smiling… looked back…and TWO PHOTOS!? Crazy!  In a way I’m happy for them because I believe they both deserve a second chance.  On the other hand, this is a competition and people do need to be eliminated in order to have a winner (ehem ME… just kidding… but not really hehe).  It just means stiffer competition for the weeks to come I guess!  Today was an intense elimination.  The judges made us say what we thought the biggest misconception they had about us was, and also the biggest misconception they had about someone else in the competition.  For myself, I said that their perception of me as a weak person was misconceived, and for Tia, I said that no one realizes how much *** she takes from people and how much it hurts her, yet she still continues to be herself regardless and stays fun and witty and talkative J (not to mention she’s one of the most forgiving people I’ve met).  Overall, this week’s Go See’s and Lingerie-Bond-Girl photo shoot was amazing.. I can’t wait for more!

Ep 5 - Stir Crazy

Elimination days suck. To my surprise, Mo was sent home today. Her exit was probably the most heartbreaking so far, while at the same time being sadly perfect. If I could describe Mo in two words I would use "thank you" (in her beautifully elegant English accent J) and so it was most fitting that those were her final words to us. Although we had our differences, I wish her all the best and I hope she knows that. This week we were judged on our fitness challenge and perhaps our most editorial and unconventionally beautiful photo shoot yet. These types of photos are essentially the reason that I want to be a model, so naturally, I was a bit disappointed in myself when my facial expression seemed lacking. I just know that this week I'm going to have to work harder if I want to convince the judges that I deserve this. And to conclude "I am slowly going crazy 1 2 3 4 5 6 SWITCH"...... I miss my friends!

Ep. 4 - Winning isn't everything...

Today, again, was an elimination day.  Sadly, Gina was sent home today so there's been a few tears shed.  She was definitely the voice of reason in the house and was always the most mature and sophisticated one so it's really going to be hard here without her.  Our performance this week was based on our media challenge (an on the spot interview) and also a glamour photo shoot.  I won the challenge, however, I didn't perform to the best of my ability on the glamour shoot, so I know I'll have to do better this week!  I really wasn't feeling myself and so I know that next time, if that ever happens again, I just can't let my mood affect my performance.

Ep. 3 - Couture and Commercials

Today, another elimination and another girl missed L  Sadly, Steff went home today and I can honestly say she’s going to be greatly missed!  She was so much fun to be around and always made us laugh. It’s really not going to be the same without her.  At the same time, I know she’s going to do great things so I wish her all the best.  Overall, this week has been really interesting!  Firstly, we were taught to walk by the fabulous Miss Jay who was terribly funny and gave great advice.  However, on judging day, I can say without a doubt, that I BOMBED the walk! It was absolutely terrible! So I’ve definitely got a lot of work to do!  We also shot a commercial for Venus Breeze and although it was probably the most nerve-wracking thing we’ve done, I really enjoyed it!  Right now I’m just trying to focus on what I need to do and try to get as much sleep as possible!

Ep. 2 - Shock and Shopping

Today was an elimination day, and although I’m extremely happy that I made the cut, there’s definitely a sad air about the house since Jacqueline left.  Honestly, I think it came as a shock to all of us, including herself.  Personally, I thought her photos were absolutely amazing! She’s such a stunning girl, and a genuinely great person.  Even though she kept to herself quite a bit, she really had a way of making everyone feel important and she’s honestly going to be missed!  At the same time, while seeing her go was a terribly saddening experience, I really feel that this isn’t the end for her.  I know she’s going to make it big, and I really hope she doesn’t get discouraged. I mean come on, how many girls tried out and she made it on show?? Clearly she has a lot going for her!

Other than the loss of Jacqueline, things have been great – although a little strange at times.  I really still feel very weird about the whole shopping experience, and guilty at the same time.  The only thing keeping me sane is knowing it’s a good investment for my future, and I’ll be able to make more money by booking more jobs and do better things with it.  I don’t think I’ll ever grow out of being a bargain shopper!

Ep. 1 - High Heels and Harmony

Wow, what can I say?  So far, this competition has been perhaps the craziest and most intense experience of my life!  Not that I thought this would be easy, but I never imagined it like this.  Early mornings, late nights, and yet I still feel like I could do it for hours more!  There's really just no room for fatigue; it's too exciting!  Except the heels kind of suck!  I think the difference between this season and previous ones, is that most of the girls here get along and are really supportive.  I've probably become closest with Tia (who by the way, is perhaps the most hilarious person I've ever met!) and everyone seems to be quite encouraging to each other.  I'm just so glad I'm here and I've been given the chance for this experience so I intend to make the most of it!
