Ep. 8 - Inevitable Tears (1st Judging)

Tears are inevitable today. We've seen our little ones grow up before our eyes. Today, two must take the walk...Tara and Tia are my two choices for today.

Unfortunately, they showed the weakest in the "Cover Girl" competition...and they helped seal in my mind why they cannot be given a pass to the final competition.

Rebecca and Sinead have continued to shine. So for that, I feel it correct that they make it to the final...

Only one entry left to make.

Ep. 8 - Rebecca Captures The Majority Vote (2nd Judging)

The count is in, the votes have been tallied. The winner is...not who I voted for...

Rebecca captured the majority of votes. This takes nothing away from Rebecca's rise to the top in this competition. But that is life in all its wonderment!

I liken it to the buffet factor. Put 30 people in front of a buffet table...no two plates will be alike...and that is what makes life so unpredictable. When you get right down to it, it takes nothing away from Sinead's beauty - Rebecca won this on her own!! This has been an incredible experience that will be with me for the rest of my life. If you have taken the time to read my blogs - I thank you!

Ep. 7 - The Field Is Getting Thinner

The end is nigh! After a long month, the days are getting shorter and the field is getting thinner. The competition, however, is getting harder!!! It is not an easy choice today. The dark horses are running to the front of the pack, the forerunners are losing ground. What a race! It will definitely be a sprint to the finish.

My vote tonight has to be for Cori. She came much further than I thought she could; however, tonight her race comes to an end.

Ep. 6 - Drama Queens!

Finally....DRAMA! The claws came out tonight, briefly. I love a good confrontation with honesty of words being the weapon of choice. It amazes me that the girls can be all cooey on set and be so human when they are forgetful of cameras and audio recordings. I saw some great photos done by Nigel of the ladies - very impressed with the way some of them have transformed...while others have not moved forward in their quest. If I hear "I'm trying" or "next time, one more time", I'm going to lost it. In life, you're lucky if you even get the chance...your even luckier if you get a second chance...but a 3^rd or 4^th or 5^th? You get the picture.

Ep. 5 - Majority Rules

What time of the day is it? It's cutting time.

There is a feeling of coldness when someone is sent off by the show. Unfortunately, there can only be one and that can only happen through attrition.

The competition is now becoming more difficult because everyone is showing so well. Tonight I felt that Sinead was the one who had to make the quiet walk and exit the show. It's not as though she was the weakest of the contestants but she was the one who did not outshine her competitors. Unfortunately, Mo was the one who was delivered the bad news today. For your information -- Mo was not my choice.

Ep. 4 - Tears and Fears

We had tears before the competition ended today. It's hard to choose. The potential of the remaining models has not been fully realized as yet and unfortunately Gina's potential will not grace our set again after tonight. This just keeps getting harder and more difficult.

Ep. 3 - Far from Easy...

Another day, another girl gets voted off the show. Not an easy task, however, we are all aware that this is necessary. Not pleasant, BUT necessary. It gets harder and harder every time I sit in my chair. Knowing that we conveniently do what we have been appointed to do. Judge and vote. It is hoped that the tears shed today provide momentum, and the tears stay here on the set at Canada’s Next Top Model.

Ep. 2 - Deep Impact

Today was a glimpse into the future of what will only grow in emotion and emotional impact not only on the competitors, but on the judges themselves. Even though we joke and cajole with each other during the final elimination process, this does not negate the emotional process of judging the final two girls. We know in our own way that we’re responsible for the tears that are sure to come.
