Ep. 7 - New Found Confidence

I am so disappointed right now, not just with myself but more in the judge's decision because they chose Tara over me, that is the last person I wanted to be standing with. I think if Tara wins she will just go back to being a dancer because I feel that is her true passion, not modeling. I also hope Rebecca doesn't win because she only has one look and Canada's Next Top Model needs to be versatile, they also need to be a role model who Rebecca is not, she had sex in the top model house which I feel is extremely inappropriate. I just hope that Sinead wins because she is the only girl other than myself that I can picture being Canada's Next Top Model. It just sucks because I tried my best in every single photo shoot but it never showed in my eyes, I still don't know what I was doing wrong, I thought I followed direction very well this week unlike Rebecca who couldn't even do what they asked of her. I am so grateful for this entire experience, it has changed my life. I am a much stronger person because of it, I have a new found confidence in myself even though the judges didn't see that. I am so proud of myself for making it this far, but at the same time I wanted to win so badly. This isn't the last of Cori though you'll see me in a magazine or on the runway I guarantee it, I won't give up my dream because it is the only thing I can see myself succeeding in.

Ep. 6 - The Motivating Factor

This week we had another challenge - this time we had to go on go-sees. We had to go to six different locations to show off our brand.  I won the prize in the end because I hit the most places and got one of the better scores with the designers and clients. My prize was a $5,000 diamond and white gold ring from Birks Jewellery!  I was ecstatic.

Later that week we got to have a photo shoot with Nigel Barker.  We got to be Bond Girls dressed in lingerie, talking on the new LG chocolate phone, and managing a Great Dane who kept trying to pull me away. I thought I did a great job but I actually found out in judging that I was the worst of the day, so I guess I can't exactly go by Nolé's comments on the shoot because he changes his mind by the time we get to judging. After our photo shoot with Nigel, we came home and there was a note from him saying he wanted to meet us for dinner and to arrive in style.  We arrived at an Indian restaurant and I was very sceptical and nervous because I have never had Indian food before and I don't like spicy food. Once we got in the restaurant I put on my brave face and I actually tried everything that was put on my plate, I can't say that I like it but I am so proud of myself for trying because I don't think I ever would have at home.

At judging this week I got a huge shock, every other girl in the house thinks that I am fake, and I couldn't stick up for my self because I was crying too much. Also no one got sent home this week, Tia and Tara were in the bottom two but Jay pulled out both of their pictures. I have a new outlook on this entire competition, I have no friends in this house so I can concentrate more on beating them.  I feel very lonely right now but I am going to try to use that to fuel my drive to win.

Ep. 5 - Pole Position!

It was an amazing week for me because I won my very first challenge and Jay was extremely proud of me because he saw how much my confidence improved. At the beginning of the week we had a cycling class at a very exclusive fitness centre. I worked my self so hard in the class that I literally vomited afterwards. Stacey Mackenzie was there for the cycling class and when we were finished she gave us a note from Jay, it said he would like to meet with all of us one on one at his hotel room. Jay definitely helped me boost my confidence A LOT when we had our conversation so I am really grateful that he decided to speak with us on an individual basis. After our chat with Jay we showed up at Flirty Girl Fitness for a pole dancing class with Stacey and Krista. I won the challenge because they both thought my confidence rose from start to finish of the class. My prize was a spa day with two of my friends; I chose Tia and Rebecca because I felt they had the most fun and tried the hardest. I received a massage and all three of us had manicures and pedicures, it was awesome. The second part of my prize was I got 25 extra frames for my photo shoot and I also got to analyze my pictures with Jay and Nolee; it was a huge advantage in my opinion. Overall I did great this week and I am going to keep it up for the next challenge and shoot.

Ep. 4 - Harsh Times

Today was really hard for me because I was in the bottom two in the judging room. I was almost positive that I would be the one to go home. It is all because I don’t have enough confidence in front of the judges and I’m not sure why. I think I am one of the best-looking girls in the competition so, I don’t understand why I don’t feel as confident as they do. The judges telling me about my confidence was definitely a huge wake-up call because every other elimination day I have been in the top three and this week I was in the bottom two. I think the judges really believe in me, which is why they need me to be as confident as possible when I’m in front of them, not just in my photos.

I had another shock too. Nolé said I was the worst of the day at our Car and helicopter windy photo shoot and I wasn’t sure why. I was trying to do exactly what him and the photographer were telling me to do but I just couldn’t get it. I’m still here though so I really have to step up my game because I am going to be Canada’s Next Top Model.

Ep. 3 - Missing Friends and Moving Forward

Today we met with the judges again, our guest judge was Miss Jay Alexander. At the judging we had to show our signature walk, while wearing an extremely tight skirt. I didn’t do as well as I had hoped so I definitely need to work on my walk – A LOT. Steff was the one to be sent home. I was sort of half expecting it but I didn’t really want her to leave. It was pretty hard especially because she almost forgot to give me a hug goodbye. I thought Steff and I were pretty close but I guess she was just in a different state of mind and wasn’t really thinking clearly.  The house feels so different now; it feels like we are missing more than one person just because Steff had such a strong personality. We also got a Jay Mail tonight saying that we are supposed to be the Jeanne, which means that we will be interviewing someone like she does everyday. I’m pretty excited but I have to make sure I do well because I can’t get sent home yet. I am going to be Canada’s Next Top Model; it is stuck in my mind right now that I just have to be.

Ep. 2 - Practice Makes Perfect

So another girl got sent home today and I think all of the girls were pretty shocked, none of us thought that Jackie would be the one to go home. But I guess that just goes to show you it’s not just about the pictures because her picture was amazing, I just don’t think she left the judges with something to remember her by, which is kind of sad. The judges told me that my pictures are really good but I need to work on my confidence in front of them, which is really hard for me because I have always been a shy person, I guess I just have to think of the judges as my friends and not just my critics. Nolé told me that I need to work on my eyes and mouth in the mirror because when I get my pose it is right on but when its not it just looks really flat and boring. So, I definitely will be looking in the mirror a lot, I need to figure out what poses look good and which ones don’t. Today when we got home Jay had eight cameras, one for each girl, we are supposed to take pictures and put up our best shots on the wall so he can stop by the house and check them out. I hope I can get an awesome shot!!!

Ep. 1 - Confidence Boosted!

Today was one of the most amazing days of my entire life. It was our first elimination and Jay called my name first. It made me feel like the judges see something in me. I was extremely proud because this photo shoot was the only shoot I have ever done and my picture was the best one out of all the girls. Also, I was feeling a bit down on myself because I felt like all the other girls had so much experience compared to me. They all have pretty much had some kind of photo shoot before or have walked a runway. I just thought it wasn't really fair, but now that I have seen how well I can take direction and how good of a photo I can produce, my confidence has just sky rocketed. So far everything we have done has been so much fun; I can't wait to see what we are doing tomorrow!!
